Advice for Family Collections
Beaumont Nathan advises families with significant art collections on intergenerational planning and long-term collection strategies. Our approach is a combination of curatorial and commercial advice, that helps ensure that collections not only retain their relevance and value but that they continue to develop into the future.
We work with families wanting to enhance, reduce, evolve or divide their collections, providing informed, dispassionate advice from a completely independent perspective.
Our process involves auditing the collection’s strengths and weaknesses, both curatorially and commercially, before delivering a long-term masterplan. We advise on how to expand collections and bridge curatorial gaps, as well as how to downsize while retaining core strengths and curatorial integrity. We also provide our view on the trajectory of each work of art, as well as a holistic view of the portfolio as a whole.
We then work alongside families and their curatorial teams and private offices to implement their plans, providing bespoke concierge service for all aspects of acquisitions, sales and collection management.
